Brew Cloud Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Brew Cloud handles information when you use the Brew Cloud website and the Brew Cloud mobile apps for iOS and Android. "Brew Cloud," "we," and "our" refer to Avocado Toast Co., the operator of these services.

Information you provide

When you create an account or use Brew Cloud, you may provide an email address, username, password, profile information, recipes, notes, posts, comments, reviews, and other content. We use this information to provide and support your account, store and synchronize content, respond to requests, maintain security, and communicate with you.

The website currently provides an email link rather than an account, support, or mailing-list form. If you email us, your email address, message, and attachments are processed by the email services used to send and receive the message. The website files reviewed for this update do not identify the email-service provider or its retention settings.

Public and private recipe content

Recipes you choose to mark as public may be visible to anyone. Information you place in a public profile, along with public posts, comments, and reviews, may also be visible to others. Please do not include private information in public fields. We may review, remove, or restrict content or accounts that violate our rules or are reported as inappropriate.

Private recipes and notes are used to provide Brew Cloud's recipe and synchronization features. Brew Cloud does not intentionally include account passwords or the contents of private recipes in data sent to Google AdMob or Google Analytics for Firebase.

Mobile advertising

The iOS and Android apps use Google AdMob to display and measure advertising. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or receive information such as:

IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
device, app, and advertising identifiers;
ad views, clicks, and other ad or app interactions; and
diagnostic, crash, and performance information.

Google and participating advertising partners may process this information to provide, measure, prevent fraud in, and - where permitted by your choices and applicable law - personalize ads. Their processing is governed by their own terms and policies.

Mobile analytics

The Android app initializes Firebase and includes Google Analytics for Firebase to help measure app usage and improve the service. Firebase Analytics may process app-instance or device identifiers, app and device information, usage events, and diagnostic information. The current iOS app uses AdMob but does not include or initialize Firebase Analytics. If the iOS implementation changes, we will update this policy.

Website measurement, cookies, and technical data

The Brew Cloud website loads a Google Ads tag (identifier AW-658860063) for page-view and app-download conversion measurement. Google may use cookies, local storage, device or browser information, IP address, page activity, and conversion events for measurement, security, and advertising purposes. The first-party website JavaScript reviewed for this update does not itself create cookies, but Google technology and hosting or security infrastructure may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

When you request a website page or use an online feature, hosting, security, and account-service systems necessarily receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, date and time, and error or security information. The live website is served through Cloudflare.

Your advertising and privacy choices

Where required, the apps request or present privacy choices before requesting ads. A privacy-options control is available in the apps when Google indicates that one is required. On iOS, you can respond to Apple's tracking-permission prompt and change the choice in device settings. On Android, you can manage advertising-ID and ad-privacy settings in device settings. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily remove ads; you may still receive non-personalized or limited ads.

When information is disclosed

Information may be disclosed when you deliberately make content public; to providers that operate hosting, security, account, email, advertising, or analytics services; when you direct us to disclose it; or when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, rights, and the service. Depending on where you live, some advertising-related disclosures may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under privacy law.

We do not intentionally provide account passwords or private recipe content to AdMob or Firebase Analytics for advertising or analytics. This statement does not prevent those providers from processing the technical, advertising, usage, and diagnostic data described above.

Passwords and security

The reviewed iOS and Android apps send account requests to Brew Cloud's account service over HTTPS. They also cache a sign-in credential in app-local settings to support sign-in. Access to locally stored app data depends in part on protections provided by your device and operating system.

Verification limit: the website and mobile-client source available for this policy does not show how the account server stores passwords. We therefore do not claim that server-side passwords are encrypted, hashed, or otherwise stored in a particular form. No internet or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Retention

The implementation materials reviewed for this policy do not establish a single fixed retention schedule for website logs, email, analytics data, account records, or backups. Retention may vary by system, provider, operational need, and legal requirement. You may contact us for information about, or to request deletion of, account data. Advertising, analytics, hosting, and email providers may apply their own retention periods.

Access, correction, and deletion

You can update certain account and profile information in the service. The current iOS app includes a "Delete User Data" action that sends a deregistration request to the Brew Cloud account service. The reviewed Android app does not expose an equivalent in-app account-deletion control.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account or associated data from Android or the website, email info@thebrewcloud.com. We may need information to verify the account and request. The reviewed client and website code does not establish a guaranteed deletion deadline or confirm how deletions propagate through server backups and provider systems, so this policy does not promise either.

Children

Brew Cloud is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review the request and take appropriate action.

We may update this policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
